Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. As a child, she was exposed to traditional music as well as traditional boleros. They also played traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera and every form of dramatic performances. Ana started learning how to sing as well as play musical instruments at an early age by her mother. The singer received more formal vocal training at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued with the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a young student and professional, she performed in several chamber groups and opera choruses from Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. In the years following her relocation in the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her location in southern California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo in traditional Latin American music at private performances. Passion and enthusiasm for performing, painting, and performing keep her engaged in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana has also been an ex-member of Community Chorus of Redlands as along with an active member of Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana finds it a pleasure to have the opportunity to share her love and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others while she hopes to inspire a passion, especially among younger generations for keeping this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
